Buying a brand new trophy se

Hi gents I'm new on this forum and wanted to ask some questions before I buy a new trophy se
Triumph have offered an incentive to buy this bike a dropped the preece by £1000. Is this being done because they want to sell more bikes or are they going to be bringing a new trophy to the market?
Also I will be putting most accessories in it ie alarm too is sat nav heated grips and seats are there any other websites that offer after market bits for this bike like nippy Normans for the beemers. I'm looking for a carrying rack for the top of the top box and lowering the footpegs but want to keep them rubber. Can anyone advise me on these subjects please. Can anyone also tell me if there have been any issues with the 2016 model that needs to be addressed. I look forward to hearing your answers.
    Kind regards
    Pete

I currently own the 2014 TTSE (purchased in 2015). I am extremely pleased with the bike and can say with no hesitation that it takes care of all my needs and is the best bike I have ever owned. My wife and I ride 2-up all the time and just love the bike. I have not heard qof any issues with the 2016 model. My recommendation is to at very least go to a dealer that has one on display to see how the bike fits you. If the bike fits you see if you can test ride it. My only word of caution is only go through this process if you are serious about buying a bike. Once you ride it you will want to buy it. Once you buy it with every mile ridden you will fall deeper in love with it. I now have 14,000 miles on my bike and I couldn't be happier. I added a number of different farkles and still have a couple to go (mainly a day-long seat which I hope to order shortly). Good luck.

:400: to the forum.  You might go to the new members section to introduce yourself to the rest of the forum members.  As for aftermarket parts, R&G Racing has a number of items some of us have added, namely protection bars, radiator guard, downpipe guard, and bar ends.  I haven't seen a rack for the top box that was specifically for the Trophy.  There are lower footpegs here: http://www.knightdesignllc.com/Products/Motorcycle/Triumph/Trophy-SE/Triumph-Trophy-SE-1-Front-Foot-Pegs.html.  They do not show any rubber cover for them and I'm not sure the factory covers will fit them, you will just have to check.  Some have changed the horn, added GPS', tank bags (looks like most prefer the Triumph tank bag for fit), changed windshields, seats, grips, radio antenna (shorter), paint protection, etc..  If the one you want does not have heated grips and the dealer wants more than $100 for them you can buy the individual parts for under that and install them yourself easily in an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on your mechanical ability.  I haven't heard of much of anything wrong with the 2016.  Even earlier models have had Triumph attention for their issues.  Other members here may be more help.  Take a test ride AND your checkbook!

    PKSJF:

When I purchased my bike TTSE Triumph was offering an incentive of $800.00 in vouchers. I used the vouchers to purchase the Comfort Seat, which is fine for some but for long distance doesn't get it for my wife and I. We will be replacing that with a Russell Day Long Seat. I also purchased the tankbag, bags to go inside the panniers and topbox plus the extension for the front fender. I have also added the Triumph GPS Mount with a Garmin GPS Unit, heated grips, Denali LED Driving Lights, R & G radiator and downpipe grills and the R & G protection bars. I am also considering adding a hugger to the rear wheel to help limit dirt, etc from building up on the rear shock. Some of these items I installed myself and some I had my Dealer install for warranty reasons.

Oh I almost forgot I added the 3M Reflective Tape (from Deanoko on ebay) to the back of the panniers and topbox to increase the visibility of the back of the bike when we ride at night. Inexpensive and very effective.
