Convert Front Turn Signals to Running Lights (Part numbers & Pictures)

I like the added visibility of the front turn signals doubling up as running lights.

I was able to find 1157 bulb holders that fit the Triumph turn signal lens at both Autozone and O'Reilly's auto parts.  The bulb holders were $6 each and 1157 bulbs $6 for 2 of them.  $18 project plus some solder, shrink fit and a couple 20 inch sections of 16 gauge wire that i had lying around the shop.

Timo, from the fourm, was over at the house as I finished this project so we snapped a few side by side to display the difference.  I was able to catch a picture with the turn signal on too.

    Right turn signal illuminated

Any chance of posting a short Video clip to show the Turn Signal operating ?

In the Photo it isn't "glaringly" obvious that the turn signal is on,
and I think a Video would show the effect much more clearly ?

    Thanks,

What circuit did you use to power the running lights?

The running light portion of the bulb is 8.3W.  I used the running light between the headlights to power the amber running lights.
