Has anyone tried the combination; Garmin Zumo 590/595 and the Garmin Virb  Camera? The option to control the camera via the GPS sounds interesting.

Yes.... I have both the Garmin 590 and the Garmin Virb camera...

Being able to easily start and stop recording on your camera from the touch screen of the sat nav is fantastic.... it also shows how long you have been recording for!

I highly recommend it as a combination

But you can say that of any camera and hours of footage!!!

Thats why being able to turn the camera on and off really helps reduce the recorded footage especially of boring bits of motorway

I have the combi setup.  I used it on my USA 4corners ride + 5o CC ride+and the 3 Flags ride  with the SCMA.  11650 miles and 17 days non stop.  IT worked great , But I had a whole bunch of memory chips to fiddle with once I got home.  I also ran usb charging cables to the camera to keep it charged and running  for the 18 hour runs
A nasty weather day riding is still better than any day working

    Interesting!
If I were to get a Garmin vrb camera could I control it from my existing Garmin Zumo 550?
