    Hello from Minneapolis

    Hello all,

New member here looking at the goods/bads of the Trophy.

Currently have a 2000 Sprint RS; love the bike, but the wife won't ride with me.

I borrowed a friends R1200RT last year and she said she could ride on that all day - But, I like the Triumph better.

Thanks for all the info - I'll be digging in now . . .

    JS

Welcome aboard.  I'm really dig'n the Trophy after coming over from a Rocket III.  My wife has only ridden with me once and said it was very comfortable (she rides her own Speedmaster).

:400: jstarktt,  It's not a real easy decision between the RT and TT.   They are both good bikes.   I decided to go with the TT after a test ride on both a 14 RT and a leftover 13 TT.   I liked the TT a little better because of the triple.   The RT was a little quieter but the TT, I thought handled a little better and felt lighter although it is actually heavier.   Now after 3 years of ownership I am glad I made the choice to go with the TT.
Can't say anything bad about the TT, had couple of minor things fixed under warranty but nothing that would have stranded me anywhere.   So from my experience I would recommend the Triumph.

P.S.  Had I bought the RT in May of 2014 I would not have been able to go on the Western US trip we had planed due to the rear shock issue so I dodged a bullet there.

Hi JS and welcome... the Trophy is a great ride for pillions....all of them say so.

What I would say do is arrange a test ride for you and the missus.... once she has tried the pillion compared to the RT there will be no going back! Take your cheque book!
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧
