Trophy with limp mode/traction control light problem.

Hey folks.. So I have a problem..
My 2013 trophy has been going into limp mode with TTC disabled coming up on the display plus the TC light and EM light, bike will cut power totally then begin revving constantly to 6k rpm. Sometimes I get marginal power back but barely revving and just able to do 60mph
Fault codes come up are P2127, P1135, P1574
My dealer has just changed the twist grip assembly believing this was the problem to no avail.. Any ideas? I'm getting tired of the bloody thing trying to dump me on the ground.. Thanks in advance Ces

P1135   Traction control prevented due to ABS problem

P1574   Cruise control prevented due to other malfunction condition

P2127   Twist grip position sensor 2 short circuit to ground or open circuit

I would guess from the above the dealer did not install the new throttle correctly and I would look at the abs sensors and wires.

    Good luck

Mine was doing that but no problem codes being captured. Turned out it was a bit of metal swarf of the rear abs sensor

Did you have the same DTC's before the Dealer changed the Twist Grip, or only after ?

I think that P2127 "Twist Grip position sensor 2 short circuit to ground" is the most relevant,
and the other two are probably thrown up as a result of it,
so once the Twist Grip problem is fixed then the other two "faults" will also clear.

Id the same DTC's were present before the Twist Grip was changed,
then it may be that the fault lies somewhere else in the circuit.

I don't have access to the wiring diagram right now, but other similar problems have been
as a result of "tight" wiring around headstock causing wires to be pulled out from either
the switches and controls on the handlebars, or the base of the Ignition switch assembly.

    Keep us posted !

Sounds like the short circuit is somewhere prior to the part they changed then !  :084:

I'm sure they will find and fix it though.

I look forward to hearing you're back on the road next week
and finding out exactly what was wrong !

    Cheers  :821:
