Heated grips for 2015 SE Trophy

What is the difference between the Heated Grips Kit for $250 and buying the parts for $100 besides a $150. Is there something in the kit that is required that is not in the parts list?

I think the kit comes with a box.   Seriously, there is no reason to buy the kit.

Buy the parts and save your money for gas. Easy to install, did them myself in an hour and grips, icons, everything works just fine.

Trophied is pretty much right - with the kit you probably get a box.  I bought the individual pieces from Street Stuff Cycle, an approved vendor here on this site, for $79.00 plus shipping.  The only things it lacked were the zip ties and instructions.  The instructions are readily available online - plus there's useful installation information on this website as well.

Triumph has raised the price for the heated grips to $125 for each side!

Bike Bandit shows the new prices at $125 EACH for the left and right grips and their price is......$124.95!  JOY!!!!  Guess we should have been using PM about this in the past so the price discrepancy between the individual parts and the kit wasn't discovered.  I guess I got mine just before the price increase.

I checked World of Triumph, and they still have a good price; about $150 USD plus $56 shipping, so about a $45 savings from anything I can find in the states.  I've never bought international before- I think I still have to pay import and customs fees, don't I?  Does anybody know how much that is?
