A Black Trophy Really Needs Black Wheels...and So they Now Are!

I am not a fan of silver rims on a black bike.  So when it was time to change tires, I made it right. :002:

For those interested the gloss black powder coating for both rims was $100.
    Replacement front bearings $20.

I pulled rims off of bike, punched out bearings, removed rotors, etc and reassembled so there was no expense in that for me.

I think it is a nice change for $120. :002:

Next is probably an all black Russell day long seat.  And the winters are long here so maybe powder coated kickstand, clutch & brake levers....who knows :008:

Looks pretty damned good and does suit the bike. And at that price, what's not to like!
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧

    XSV -
Those wheels look OUTSTANDING and the new tires are awesome, too.
Have you taken it for a spin, yet?
Just wondering if black powder coated wheels make it any faster??   :062:

    Nice job there!!!    :152:

I'm not a fan of the deep, battleship grey color on my blue Trophy either.    I wish they were a brighter shade of silver, to make them stand out better.

So, when can I get you down to so Cal for the job?!?!?!      :745:      :821:

Of course it makes it faster. It's a similar phenomenon to the blue colour. As you travel through the air, the superior powder coat finish astonishes air molecules which naturally move out of the way so they can get a better look at the whole thing as the bike goes by. This reduces wind resistance significantly which improves both speed, acceleration and gas mileage.   :169:
