Optimate Charging Point?

Hi All, on my other machines I am accustomed to plugging in my optimate battery charger thru an auxiliary power socket, but despite having 3 readily available none of them seem to accept the current flow.  Can anyone confirm if and where they plug the optima the Hella plug in?

My Optimate works fine on the outlet on the left side below the rider's knee.   This appears to connect directly to the battery and therefore can be used for charging without the ignition switched on.  I just had to remove the red collar on the Optimate 12V plug adapter so that it could fit into the smaller Triumph socket.

fred_jb is correct - the Socket near the riders left knee is permanently live
and the ideal place to connect your Optimate 

If you haven't already done so - remove the Battery Cover ( one screw )
and check, as some Trophy's were shipped with an Optimate connector
pre-installed to the Battery terminals, and the wiring with Optimate connector
tucked away down the side of the battery, which can be fished out quite easily !

Coconut... when you say Optimate connector, are you saying there MIGHT be an SAE type connector already connected to the battery?  So that I could connect a Battery Tender Jr to this instead of an SAE->DIN dongle for the left side port?

It’s one screw to remove, lift the Battery cover and take a peek !
