    Security in the Man Cave.

Bike theft is the stuff of Night Terrors and I personally have woken up many times thinking Thank God it was just a dream!

I sit at times in the cave and try to imagine how someone would hike my bikes out, even with an expensive Disk Lock - all they really need is a skate board under the locked wheel and it's gone in seconds!

So I've now secured two serious Anchor bolts into the block wall and bolted on two high carbon stainless Eye Bolts to ensure they cannot be unscrewed when locked off. :007:

I'll sleep better now thinking this would be a difficult and noisy theft - so they'll leave without the bikes.

All done for less than £25 :002: Will post a pic if anyone's interested...

You need to be a bit more Zen about things...  :002:

It's only stuff. Life is far too short to lie awake at night worrying if someone is going to nick some stuff, especially stuff which can be replaced, probably with something even better. Just lock your doors, stop worrying about mere possessions, and enjoy your sleep.   :002:

I say that prevention is better than a cure so fitting extra locks etc is always a good idea.

I'm glad I don't live in your neighborhood.  Heck, I have yet to have a bike stolen from in front of cheap hotels while on a bike trip.  Getting one stolen off my property would really be an act of a desperate thief knowing that we all own guns out in the country.
