    Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum. Just got my 2014 Trophy SE couple of weeks ago. I upgraded from 2010 Honda Fury and so far I'm liking it very much. Other than not being able to ride it because I put in to have the radio check ed since the FM wasn't picking up nothing and that the bike had last couple of weeks of warranty left - thumbs up. Has anyone else come across that issue with the radio? I hope I'm not making a big mistake not going to extend the warranty, but a kind of wrecked my budget spending all of the money and then some on that toy. Didn't even know how I could come back to good old wifey to have her approve another $1,400 for extended warranty

Hi tombaran and :400: to the Club !

Earlier Trophy SE US models ( with the XM radio ) did have an issue with the software,
although this mainly affected the radio not shutting down properly and draining the Main battery.

This was fixed with a software update to Version 1.04E,
so ask your Dealer to confirm that you have this  :169:

You can also verify this yourself :
With the Ignition ON ( but don't start the engine ) and the Radio turned OFF
( Volume all the way down to Minimum, Mute and Off ),
Press and hold the "P" button until the "DIAGNOSTICS" menu is displayed.
Scroll to the S/W VERSION item, and press Select.
Latest Version for US market is 1.04E.

Unfortunately some US Dealers do not seem to know of this Update,
so point them at this Topic : Where Triumph dealers can find audio software updates (U.S.)

A rare number of our Members have had the radio unit fail
and have had to have it replaced under warranty.

    Cheers  :821:

Welcome. Hope the radio gets fixed soon and without hassles. I wonder if my FM radio works. I haven't turned it on in probably two years. No interest.

One of my best friends from middle school through college lives in SIlver Springs. Name is Cozy
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

Hi tom and welcome! Hope the radio is sorted but I find it doesn't work well when moving anyway. Only ever listen to it if working on the bike in the garage. Provided the USB input and audio in for GPS is working you will get all the sounds you need much better that way.

Thanks for the tip Coconut. I'm picking up the bike today and will definitely ask about it. There must have been something about battery getting drained because the guy who I bought the bike from mentioned something about it and he put a new battery in past May. I doubt I will be able to get the Triumph to pay for the battery, but it is sure worth a try. Thanks again.
