    Hello everyone.

There have been some recent posts regarding powder coated wheels and it seems there is quite a bit of interest, especially since it can significantly change the appearance of your bike and make it more "yours".
I plan on getting mine power coated in the coming weeks, when my front tire is being replaced because of the wobble I've posted in another thread.  I find myself wanting something a little different, but not wild or something I would get tired of (remember how "in-style" teal was in the 80s?  YUK!).  I'm thinking of a dark blue or metallic blue to match with my blue bike.  But I am definitely a visual person.  I would love to see someone post some blue options, but in the interest of not being selfish, I know others are interested in other colors, too.

I thought I would start a new thread to just show interested members the different colors (since my European friends are reading this, I'm acknowledging the old English version:  :017: ..."colours") of powder coat or paint people have chosen, primarily for their wheels, but also any other factory parts that have been powder coated.

Post your powder coated wheel pictures here.

I found this picture from a prior post from May 20, 2014 from "Felix", and thought I would copy and paste here, since I saw there hasn't been any activity under this user name since Feb 2015.
Described as "deep silver with some crystal flaking".
    Looks great!
Felix - If you see this post, I sent you a PM.  I hope you are ok with me re-posting this from your prior post for the good of the forum.

I got my wheels back yesterday from being powder coated.  The process was a bit of a fiasco with the company getting them done when they said they would.
In my opinion, the wheels look GREAT  :062:, however, they turned out purple, rather than blue to match the bike.  Both paint colors look great, however I'm not too sure I like them together :027:
Had the new Pilot 4 GT tires put on, mounted balanced and new bearings and now am not sure what to do.  Live with it for about a year, when I need new tires, or get them blasted and re-shot.
Anyways, these wheels were media blasted, one coat of chrome, then one coat of Prismatic Lollipop Blue and then a second of Lollipop blue.  So 3 coats total with baking/cooling for each individual coat.  They have a very deep and wet appearance, which is great, however I wanted them to be blue.  I left a pannier with the powder coater also, so they could get as close as possible to the Pacific Blue "shade".  $150 is what the blasting and powder coating cost, which i thought was reasonable, however it doesn't do me any good to have the wrong color.
