Still, a bit disheartening , now I hear the parts are on backorder. Here comes my summer. I wonder if Triumph is big enough to give me a demo for a couple weeks> :)

Ask and you shall receive! Triumph gave me a rent-free, brand new demo-model, top of the line HD UltraGlide Special Edition... for 7 days while I waited for a new tank to fly from Deutschland to The Left Coast and then to Ray Price HD/Triumph here in Raleigh, NC!
Let me share something with you about my experience: While the folks at RP and Hinkley were extremely professional and uncommonly sympathetic in my plight....I was so glad to get off that HD and back on the TTSE that all sense of buyer's remorse and bitter feelings of betrayal simply vanished! Relax, life is full of chuckholes in the road. Before you know it, you'll be back in the saddle and looking back, laughing at the situation! Mientras tanto mi moto-hermano: pide un demo-model and they will provide you with one because THEY SET THE STANDARD with me already! -Dr Ron :007:

At least they got in touch to recall a possible problem.  Look at Toyota continuously recalling cars.

I would also be annoyed if I could not ride my new toy but it happens.

I got a call Friday for a tank recall.  I took it in Saturday and got it replaced.  They gave me my old Tiger 800 to run around on for the 6 hours it took them to replace the tank.

That is fairly prompt service.  No other issues with this bike. Yet ;)
