    'Darkside' a TTSE?

I saw a reference to it, but didn't see any threads.

I ran a CT on my Goldwing for years and loved it!  Any options/experience here with that on the Trophy SE?  Is it even possible?

I found a tire at Tirerack.com in 195/45/17.  Curious if anyone has tried it.  About $100.

There was a Topic that I had posted to previously about using Car Tires
on the Trophy, but I can't find it now so it may have been removed.

I am in the group that does not approve of this practice
( technically / probably illegal in the UK ) so am unable to help or comment further.

Try this link for a Trophy rider who has tried and written about a CT on the Trophy:

I will take a look at that.  Not sure of the laws in the UK of course, but no issues with that here.  More curiosity at this point.  In honesty it would be a very 'squared' endeavor running a 45 or 50 series tire, which I probably wouldn't like.  I ran an 80 series on the Goldwing and it was great- scraped pegs or boots easy and comfortably.

Think I will stick with the MC tire.  I was concerned about the shorter sidewall and its effect on handling.

    Interesting read.

Summary :   Pro - Saved money.

Con - Handling was scary, bike handled like a hippo on roller skates, not for sporty riding, straight-line cruising only.

So pretty much the experience of most bikes with a square car tire on the back then ....

    The Darkside has cookies!

Yes I am a dark sider. But that was with other bikes. Big, Heavy freeway mile eaters.
The wide tire on those bikes worked very well.
The Trophy is another beast, I dont think I would go that route.

What is the reason behind going to the Dark side on this bike?
