    Rear Top Box Blanking Plug

I'm hoping someone on here can identify a part number for me. And hopefully provide a place to purchase it.

I'm trying to purchase the top box connector blanking plug referenced on page 3, step 9 here - http://www.triumphinstructions.com/ProdDocs/A9508161-US.pdf
A better picture of the connection is shown in this thread - https://www.triumph-trophy.com/index.php/topic,4122.msg52597.html#msg52597
    third picture.

The reason I want to purchase the blanking plug is I'm taking the Triumph top box off to install a Pelican case. I removed everything this weekend but as I was searching through all the stock parts given to me when I purchased the bike, (I had the top box and GPS kit fitted before I took delivery) the blanking plug is nowhere to be found.

Yes I know I can just throw some electrical tape over top and I did. But I like things to be correct.

I tried searching the parts fiche on multiple websites like bike bandit and world of triumph and I can't come up with anything.

    Can anyone help?

Have you tried looking in the little tool box under the front rider seat?? Often dealers put bits in there when they prep a bike for delivery.

It's not there. I keep spare parts there.

Nope. That's the rubber plug for the sliding carriage rack when the top box is not mounted. I have that.

It looks like it is supplied as part of the Main Harness and doesn't have a separate Part Number  :233:

Those instructions you refer to say  :
"Retain the blanking plug if the motorcycle is returned to its original condition,"
so there may be a Forum Member that bought a Top Box and fitted it themselves,
and still has one that they might be tempted to part with,
otherwise it might be worth Phoning around a few Dealers
to see if they have any lying around after installing a Top Box  :084:

    Good Luck !

It's  the same blanking plug used for tigers, explorers so you may want to widen your search to take these owners into account.

1st bike Yamaha DT125, 2nd bike Yamaha XV535 Virago 3rd bike Honda CBR 1000 F, 4th bike Honda Hornet 600 (story to tell) 5th bike Suzuki B-King 1300, 6th bike Suzuki GSX1250 FA. Then comes the cream of them all the TTSE in Blue the best colour in my opinion ....... :-)

I knew it was going to be bad news. I almost want to put it back on the original dealer that I bought the bike from. They missed a few things when installing the GPS kit and the top box kit, that I then took care of later after taking delivery of the bike.

I have a little baggie with all the "parts" that came with the bike, including the above mention rubber plug for the sliding carriage. It's their job to provide me with it so I think they should contact Triumph and force them to give me one.

I have the blanking plug for the GPS connector but not the top box one.
