    Newbie presentation from France

    Hi all,
Being a TTSE happy owner for 2 weeks now, and having gone through many topics of this great forum, time is now to register and introduce myself.
I'm 52, French, leave in the west suburbs at 30km from Paris, and hopefully my English is good enough to follow topics, and to be understood !
My TTSE is a 02/2016 demo bike I got from dealer with only 1200km on dashboard.
Started with a VStrom 650 8-9 years ago, changed for an Explorer XC in 2015, and fell in love with Trophy when, looking at some more comfortable and longer range bike, I had the opportunity to test the press dedicated Trophy from Triumph France. I'm not a journalist, but this was the only solution my dealer found to let me do a test as he has no Trophy test bike.
This Trophy was perfectly well prepared, no noise, all smooth, in other words : perfect sample. Could not trade in this press bike, and finally found mine in another dealer 150km far from my place.
I try not to use the bike for going to work, and like to ride it for pleasure only, outside any time and professional constraints, and I have no big concern with driving long and far.
    Cheers, Hugues

Welcome!  Nice that you got one already broken in.  You should ride to work.  It will put you in a happier frame of mind to start the shift, I guarantee it!  I commute daily and have only taken short trips, 1.5 hours a leg, but I am verrrry pleased with the TTSE!

Thanks for all of your welcome messages, much appreciated, it illustrates my first feeling of this forum : friendly, sharing, joking !
If I try not to go to work with the bike, it is not because I don't want to. In fact, have to fight everyday against my natural choice for the bike, and reasonably select car : the 30km I have to drive to work are as fast by car as by bike, no big traffic issues nor useful filtering. and it's a company car... Then, I'd better put km on the car with paid gas than on my personal bike, and moreover it is definitely less dangerous. let's say I want to keep bike for pleasure/leisure only, meaning every thing except work
