Main frame broke where the center stand is attach??

My 2014 TTSE lower left part of the main frame where the center stand is attach, broke down. It's my impression, that the culprit may be the center stand, even though, there are no recalls for it.

I have been looking for an image of the center stand after the recall for earlier TTSE, to compare with mine, without any luck. If any member can help in providing some images of the center stands, it will be much appreciated. That way I will be able to know if there is a discrepancy in regards to the center stand..

An interesting note: Today is the last day of the warranty, so it was my lucky day.

Took the bike to the dealer this morning and they just inform me that in a matter of minutes, Triumph approve the claim, under warranty. The TTSE is back with me until the parts come inn.  That's what I call service. :028:

I can't understand how that broke. Do they have to now replace the whole frame now?  :005: That is a lot of time and money!

Neither do I, they will replace the frame under warranty. The frame is about 2k US + 18 hrs of labor.

on the '13's there WAS a recall, a brace was added to keep the stand from rotating too far.  I wonder if the '14's were to have this mod too???
I'm sure there is a pic of the installed plate on the forum somewhere....

    Some 2013 Trophy SE's ( VIN Range 561284 - 590855 ) were subject to
a Centre Stand Recall, for the addition of a Bracket, to the left side of the Frame.

Later machines had a modified frame and did not need the strengthening bracket.

I have been unable to find any Photo's but have attached a copy of the U.S. Recall document.

    Cheers  :821:

The broken frame would be explain if I have an unmodified frame, without the strengthening center stand. Assuming that the original flaw can cause the frame to brake. My TTSE wasn't on the vin number range for the head upgrade either, but two months ago they did the upgrade and explain to me that some 2014 models also have the noise problem. :157:

I wonder what would happen when they change the frame? Do the bike get a new vin number and a new title have to be issue?  If the year of a motorcycle is define by the vin number, then I assume that the vin number can't be change. :087:
