    Signs of winter in Ohio

All of the bikes have been cleaned and polished, oil and filters are good, fuel stabilizer added, tanks topped off and all snuggled in on their side of the garage. Although put away for the winter I always have them ready to go. Never know when that nice, dry, no salt on the roads day will pop up during the winter. Maybe even a  North Carolina ride after Thanksgiving.

    Navy,

I'm pretty much in the same boat up here in Wayne Co. Unfortunately I missed the chance to ride last week on Thursday and Friday during that brief spell of unseasonably warm weather. We had a little snow Saturday into Sunday. I didn't accumulate on the roads but they still overdid it on the salt. I've got a cover on the Bonneville and my wife's Honda Forza but the Trophy is at the ready and waiting.

What model is the yellow Honda scooter?

We will be announcing the final plans for Hooligans in the Hills 2.0 very soon. Hope you make it in 2017.

    Happy Thanksgiving!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

We rode Friday and that explains the bugs on the Trophy shield. We were on 124 by the Ohio river and the farmers were tilling which had the bugs stirred up. We had some sleet and flurries Saturday and Sunday, but no salt yet. We are heading for Maggie Valley on Friday and was seriously considering the Trophy, but a conversation with Rob at the motel has changed my mind. Maggie is having off and on issues with smoke from the fires in NC so the cage will be our transportation.

The scooter is a 2003 Reflex. My around town grocery getter, but I have put a few long day rides on it. The Honda in the middle is a 1981 650 Custom I rescued from a slow rusting death last year. I noticed it sitting in a back yard in Dayton and also noticed while in bad shape it was original and complete. Restored and makes a great bike for an evening supper ride.

They all three look very comfortable. Here in Florida, mine get no rest with an all year riding season. But, they too have their spot in the garage.

Had our first blizzard a couple of days ago, not much but enough to put a period on the season for the most part.  Bikes have been stabil'd for a month 'just in case'  I expect they'll be a clear day or two before The Big One socks us in.  TTSE will eventually go in my Rolling Man Cave toy hauler trailer, and will get some miles in The Texas Hill Country come February.. then to Georgia and Florida...  Big Girl has 63,000 mile now... Just getting well broken in...

Well, I just joined the "Put the Triumph away for the winter club." I probably won't get it back out until mid March, early April  2017.  I really dislike Winter  in the Mid-West.   :161:

Man, you are truly going through hard times! Do you expect much frost and snow in the Mid West?

I keep mine ready to ride till the first salt hits the pavement here in New Jersey. Wouldn't want to miss any stray good days.
