    What's in a Name????

I ride for pleasure, and most of the time I'm riding my Trophy without saddlebags.     When I do grab a piece of luggage, I always start with the trunk, so I can more easily split traffic.   The saddlebags are always attached last, and only if I need them.

So, being our bikes don't say "Triumph" on the sides of the bike except on the saddlebags (which remember, are rarely on my bike!) I bought two of the Triumph badges (the same part #'s from the saddlebags, about $35 each) from BikeBandit.   I considered just removing the badges from the saddlebags, but was afraid I'd destroy the 3M tape, or scratch the saddlebags in the process.

I experimented with a few different locations, but ultimately decided on the placement shown below.

Isn't the bike just as wide at the mirrors as it is at the panniers? Just curious. I had a chance to do some lane splitting while in CA this past summer and I was like "NOPE!" Not for me with this bike.

Panniers are a bit wider (2.5 cm or 1")

It would do Triumph some good to see this post.  Should have been this way from the factory.  Nice idea, I also ride without luggage most of the time and have even had to tell a few people it was a Triumph even when the it was wearing the cases.

I think the little triangle badge that's under the windscreen would look nice right before the TROPHY SE badging on each side. I may order a couple and see.

I'd considered that too.    But, I wanted something that would boldly proclaim the make of the bike.

( But then that Model got discontinued too !  :164: )
