I've been close to pulling the trigger on the following H4 LED bulbs from Cyclops Adventure Sports, which are based in the greater Seattle area (Washington State).
I talked with Daryl (owner) last summer and also exchanged several emails.
He is passionate about his business and motorcycles in specific. He answered every single one of my questions.
They would be installed on my bike, however I got sidetracked and decided to first buy some super bright and focused long range LED cubes (Baja Design), which put the H4 bulbs on the back burner for me.

(I actually look forward to riding at night after installing these. I can tell you that I had an unplanned ride across a very twisty mountain pass at night in British Columbia because the small town I planned on spending the night had a wedding that booked EVERYTHING. It was one of the best rides I have ever done, simply because it was much, much different than during the day and I had all the light I needed to see animals well in advance).
I also have these auxiliary lights on a Skene set at 30% with low beam and 100% with my high beam switch. I also have another button to simply turn them off.
They are expensive, but super high quality with a lifetime warranty and designed and manufactured in California. These are true off-road lights and blow away anything I have researched within the same size range.
Anyways, back to the H4 LEDs.......The Cyclops guys focus on motorcycles. Take a look at their new H4 LED bulbs for 2017. It is claimed at 7,000 lumen for each bulb on High Beam. Both High and Low beam stay illuminated when in high beam mode, which is unique.
Cyclops told me they offer a money back guarantee. (This is off of memory, so you will want to verify if this is important to you).
I wish I could give you my experience with this Cyclops bulb, but I have not purchased it yet and glad I have not since they just released their newest 2017 version, which is nearly twice as bright as the ones I was going to buy last August. (Guessing it's an upgraded driver and/or Cree LED/bin).
The great thing about their design is the cut-off shield that is built in to give a beam cut off line similar to halogen (which our Trophy reflector has been specifically designed for).
I am not a lighting expert. This is Cyclops' design claim, which makes sense to me.
The nice thing about our headlights is we can adjust the beam elevation electronically, so if the "cut off" line is a bit higher than the H4 Halogen, we can easily adjust it so we don't blind/dazzle oncoming traffic. That's assuming this LED bulb plays nice with our factory "Halogen" designed reflector.
I'm also looking at the Cyclops H11 and 9005, for my Chev Silverado, but will decide which pair to buy first before I make an investment is 3 pairs of Cyclops bulbs.
While we are on the lighting option subject, I'm curious if anyone has thought about a Bi-Xenon Projector retrofit on the Trophy with HIDs (i.e.: Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 or D2S 4.0)?
This would require opening the headlight assembly for the retrofit (not for the faint of heart) and requires heating the headlight assembly in an oven or cutting them open.
The light output is supposed to be amazing with a super defined low beam cutoff line as to not have any stray light above the line. High beam activation simply activates a shield to allow for the full focused beam pattern that throws some excellent long range, focused light.
Other than a much more involved installation, the only negative I can imagine is the light signature of the bike (from the perspective of an observer or driver in front of the bike) would not be as conspicuous as the "halogen" or LED bulb because of the lack of light scatter.
Light scatter is a bad thing for SEEING, but is a good thing in BEING SEEN, except potentially blinding other drivers.
If there is any interest in a "projector retrofit" on the Trophy, we should start another thread as to not divert the attention on the original thread for H4 LED "replacement" bulbs.
I've been spending a lot of time reading about all of this for my bike and truck, so I thought I would share it, especially since the "plug and play" on the Cyclops Adventure H4 LED bulbs would be simple.
I'll definately be watching this thread and will update with my experiences when I make a decision on which way to go.
if someone already has tried the Cyclops bulb or any of the others that are mentioned in this thread, or others, lets hear about it.
I think the factory Halogen lights are the best I have ever experienced on a motorcycle, however I'm always interested in the best light options available for safety, without throwing stray light everywhere.
