Victory Motorcycles are being phased out.

It looks like the motorcycle market is tighter than I though. Triumph is phasing out models but at least they're bringing new ones. Polaris seems to be putting all their eggs in the Indian basket.

My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

Not a surprise to me. Two brands within same company competing for the same customer demographic, who didn't see that coming?

Polaris needs to now reset the price point for the Indian brand to give the market a real shake up.

I test rode the Victory Vision while shopping for my new bike this summer and thought it was a nice ride, just too big and bulky for what I was really wanting though.  The Indian brand is definitely the "hot" one right now and where Polaris has been spending the big development dollars recently.

I was very surprised also.  In a few years, IMO the Indian will go by the wayside just as previous owners have done.  Of course there will be some profit to be had along the way.  Then someone will say it was fun while it lasted and go back to previous non motorcycle business in a few years.  I believe Victory would be better in the long run but their marketing and profits must be saying otherwise.  The average cycle owner age is increasing so maybe they can turn young folks to the Indian???

Maybe they can develop the electric versions enough to make a profit there also.
    Waitin' for my ride!

Wow, don't know if I dodged a bullet but I was keen on a Cross Country Tour, so we took it for a few days ride.

I liked it but it was a boat ride! I then had a tryout of the Trophy SE 2016 and fell in love.

I have walked down the aisle with my TTSE and am having a ball!

Pity about the Victory brand though, impressive machines ( but a bit over the top in some of their styling. )
Not to get technical.... but according to chemistry.... alcohol is a solution.. :)

I thought when Polaris made the decision to go with Indian it didn't seem to make sense to compete against yourself.Whenever i would stop by the Victory shop, the place was usually empty. I hope Polaris does the right thing for parts and customer service for the current Victory owners.
