touring gloves
« on: June 12, 2013, 08:32:18 pm »
Anyone tried those weise goat skin short gloves.  If so how are they.  I have a pair if halvarsson short gloves but they stopped making them some years ago and now they are showing their age.  They look very much like the weise ones.

Thanks

Hi John

I've got a pair of Gerbing heated glove that I ware all year round. Not the cheapest glove out there but they are the best I've owned in 40+ years of riding. And when needed plug them in and it warms the back of the hand  :087: You know the part that gets cold  :745: :745:

I will look them up.  As with your other post (cooling jacket) I am off to france in a few weeks so was hoping that it might be warm and looking out cooler kit?

I have a pair of BMW Summer rain gloves for moderate temperatures.  When it gets hot I wear a pair of white goat skin gloves I get at the local hardware store.  Light weight and the white color reflects the sun light.  Not near as hot as black gloves.  Not water proof but when the suns shining bright that isn't an issue.

Still going on about the sunshine. The one day a year we get sunshine in the UK I still have my Goretex winter gloves on, with my heated grips full on.

Got a pair.  The backs of the gloves look and feel quite good and protective the fronts seem very flimsy.  Obviously not moulded to my hands yet but I will put some conditioning juice on before the trip to France.
