    Sena 20s on Shoei Neotec

    Hi guys,
just a short one as my new Sena 20s (and also my first BT helmet kit) will arrive tomorrow : for those who fitted the 20s on a Shoei Neotec, is their any trick/tip I should know before installing on the helmet ?
according to what I found in other posts (@davybull), seems to be somehow painful..
Helmet clamp or glued surface mounting adapter ? best location/position on the helmet ?
Microphone : static boom or wired boom ?
Speakers : on purpose cavities seem to exist in helmet ("ear pockets"), which are currently filled with removable foam. Once speakers installed, do you put the Shoei foam back or not ? is it better or worse than the speaker foam provided in Sena kit ?
Thanks in advance for your help and experience.
    Cheers, Hugues

I've got a Uclear HBC200 on my Neotec, so I can offer some help.  It came with both a clamp on and a adhesive mount.  I wouldn't rust a clamp on type on anything other than a very temporary application.  The surface adhesive mount still feels rock solid after several yrs of use.  The unit is still removable, and I would imagine Sena should be similar.  I tested a few locations before deciding on the spot it's at, which give good clearance to work the internal visor lever.

I left the OEM foam pads off.  I listen to the BT headsets over foam earplugs so I don't really want anything else to reduce the volume even more.  I don't feel the speakers on my ears but they are close enough to get a good near field effect.

Eagle....did you know that the SENA 10U is available specifically for the Shoei Neotec.
Installing is easy, works better then my SMH10 and I the only complaint I have is the handlebar remote operation is awkward.

Can the Sena 10U be pair to the Trophy and expected to works as intended?

I think any of the Sena 10 or 20 series will work well with the Trophy audio.  My SMH10 is five years old and the newer ones are even better than mine from what I've read here and other places.

My Trophy is the non SE, the lighter and faster type  :085:  without radio/bluetooth.
But I understand it will pair with the SE Bluetooth like SMH10.
I paired both the 10U installed on the Shoei Neotec and the SMH10 on my Nolan N104 to a Garmin ZUMO 390 which is also paired to my Samsung Galaxy phone.

    Hi Eagle4,

I have a SHOEI NeoTec and love it, I run mine with the Sena PacTalk.  I saw on You Tube this comprehensive fitting video of the Sena 20, but it is in Portuguese with English sub-titles which should be no problem for a Frenchman!

    Here: https://youtu.be/fwJVkRqALkw

Enjoy your new safety helmet I'm now on my second NeoTec, used to have Schuberth C3 and C3 Pro but I like the SHOEI fit on my head better.

    Love, light and kindness,

    Dave
