    Hi,

Have been trying to source out a paint protection kit for my 2014 Triumph Trophy Se but not having any luck. Northern Ireland dealer is out of them and stated that Triumph have made them obsolete. If any of you know a any other UK dealers who have them in stock will you let me know. Thanks Brian.  :002:

    Hi Brian Mac,

I used a company in Birmingham, West Midlands ( UK )
called Tony James Designs ( Owner is Tony Hill ).

The contact details are on the page from the above link,
and although last time I spoke he was considering moving from
those premises, I would imagine his Phone numbers are still the same.

He used my Trophy to map out the various panels which have far more coverage
than the standard Triumph Kit, and for less money !

    Hi Coconut,

Many thanks for your assistance. It is greatly appreciated. Looks like Tony James design is still going strong. Checked out his website. I dropped him a mail earlier and still waiting to hear back from him. Failing to get a mail back  I will phone him directly. Will keep you posted. :062:

    Thanks again.
    Brian

    Hi Brian,

I too have a protection kit fitted by Tony James.  Tony did a great job, I'm happy to recommend him.  Fascinating to watch him work.   :028:

    Brian.

    Hi Lads

Spoke to Tony this evening on the phone and has agreed to do me a protection kit for my Trophy. Very nice fellow and more than helpful. A reasonable price as well compared to the Triumph set. Have the task now of putting them on when I get them  :183: Many thanks again for your help.

     :152:

If you ( or anyone else reading this ) haven't applied products like this before,
it's worth watching a couple of video tutorials on YouTube first.

The product is quite forgiving, and as long as it's not been allowed to dry out,
can be peeled off and re-applied several times to get it "just right".

The kit that Tony is sending by post may well include a spray bottle and rubber squeegee,
so all you need is the "slip solution" to spray onto your clean paintwork  :028:

Tricky parts are things like the sculpted parts of the fuel tank
( where your thighs grip ), where the film has to be stretched a little to take up the shape.

Here's a couple to be going on with :

( Sorry it's not a Triumph on this next one,
but it IS Tony doing the work ! ) ...

Let us know how you get on  :169:

    Cheers  :821:
