Today my battery finally gave up,, At auto zone a standard lead acid battery was 109.99   next to it was a box for 219.99  I picked it up and asked the clerk if this was just a display box..  He said no  that was it.  I opened it up and it had a full sized battery like the lead acid one but felt next to nothing .  I splurged. went home installed it   very easy since it was so light and clean.   No pre charging .. It spun my trophy up like it has not started in quite awhile  LOVE IT
A nasty weather day riding is still better than any day working

I switched to a Shorai not long after I got my TTSE.  I am sure Triumph had good reason(s) for hanging that big chuck of lead all the way out on one side, but it just doesn't sit well with me.

I've now got 4 Shorai's in various bikes.  The oldest is more than 5yrs old, has been in 3 different bikes, and still tested strong with a battery load tester.

I've had Shorai batteries in my last +/- seven bikes.    Both my Trophy and Explorer have one.     They're great!

Any owners in the UK bought one of these batteries for their Trophy?

Just had a quick look, I gather that the original battery is a Yuasa YTX20L-BS which retails at 75 +VAT??

I'm not sure exactly which one of the three possibles that one would go for from the list below but wow, they sure are expensive.

348.43 is the UK price, just wondering, how does that compare to what you pay in the States?
