Hey everyone (Coconut :016:), I have heard that Triumph has discontinued the optional "comfort seat"...is that true? If so, are they discontinuing other accessories or equipment for the Trophy? I ask because I really like the optional "touring windscreen" I have and wanted to get a 2nd one in case I need to replace it, someday. I did "some" searching on the internet and was unable to find one. Anyone (Coconut  :008:) know anything about this?

Mike2411. As an alternative to the factory option, you may like to look at National Cycle's V Stream Windscreen. I have fitted model N20608 to my 2016 Trophy. I'm 6' 2" in the old measurement and I get exceptional protection from it. Not only myself, but my wife appreciates the extra protection it offers. It is the largest screen for the Trophy that they have. I find that I only have to raise it to the point where the screen upper support arms are horizontal for me to still be able to look over it. This reduces buffeting to my helmet and negates the pushing in the back sensation the standard screen produces. Raising it to full height means I'm looking through it. No problem with this, no distortion with vision, and the wife loves this position even better. I'll only raise to full height when on straight open roads, I still like to look over it in the bends. Hope this gives you another option. Cheers. By the way it's fitted in my avatar shot.

Hackle, if you are ever close to Melbourne (east side) please let me know. I would like to catch up; especially to see your windscreen.

Apropos the comfort seat question, I emailed Triumph UK to ask about saddles. The said that the comfort seat was available. I have asked a supplementary question: does it come heated. or is there that option? I await their further response.

    I believe

Thanks Clarge, I have tried the VStream. You're correct in that the touring screen isn't a lot taller but it is wider and, for me anyway, works really well!

Thank you, HACKLE!I have the middle VStream but still, prefer the optional "touring screen" from Triumph. I tried the large VStream in the beginning and sold it for I felt it was too large but I might have to try it again. I, too, am 6'2" so sounds like it may be a viable option moving forward! Only this time I need to give a decent try.

duncanmacster, the comfort seat is DEFINITELY worth having but I was told they DO NOT make a heated version of the comfort seat. Let me know if hear different.

    Thanks again, guys,
    Mike

That is my understanding as well. I had put off getting the comfort seat, but now it looks like I can't, in the USA anyway. All the usual places show it either not-in-stock or non-existent.

HACKLE, how long have you had the "large" VStream on your bike? Have you ridden with that windscreen on HOT days ("hot" where I live is 100-110 in the summer with a lot of 85-95 degree days during most of the year...until Winter, when it drops down into the 'teens')? Do you get enough air flow with that "barn door" mounted to the bike? Like I said earlier, I purchased one in the very beginning but sold it after a short try because I thought it might be too much for my liking. I have no idea WHY I do what I do sometimes  :034:! My wife warns me, "don't sell it because you might want it later", but I sell it because I know what's best :164:. Then, as ALWAYS, I discover she was right...AGAIN :157:!

AZBob, I just posted (in another post on the site) that I was looking at "pure-triumph.com" and they sell the "comfort passenger seat" but no mention of the rider seat. Bummer cause that comfort seat is great! Best seat I've ever been on. The Concours had the WORST seat I've EVER been on so I appreciate that Triumph did such a great job on that part of the bike...kind of an important part to focus on.

This was my butt on the Concours... :192: :192: :192:

This is my butt on the Trophy... :020: :020: :020:
