    A difficult Decision

It is odd to say I have decided to sell the best bike I have ever owned.
But after much thought I realise that now we have a motor home the Triumph is redundant.
Never one for local runs we always enjoyed the adventure of the big trip, and having done several on the Triumph I am convinced it is better than anything I have ridden
from BMW which includes. R1100RS and RT R1200RT and K1200GT
We love touring mainland Europe and have reached the stage where the discomfort of the long slogs on even a bike as good as the Trophy
have started to outweigh the pleasure.

So with a genuine heavy heart  I am preparing it for sale.

I will be posting some items for sale on this forum. Cheaper than they will later be posted on ebay and with free postage so keep an eye open.

So thank you to all you who posted helpful messages some of you I met, some who have retired their Trophies already.
Ride well, ride safely and when you next pass a plodding motor-home and if the driver appears excited to see you it's probably us.

and remember we may be slow, but the wines in the fridge.

Good luck on the new adventure!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

Which motorhome have you got then? :002:

The wife and I got into the VW camper/motorhome scene after using a Wing/tent for 3 years or so, it certainly took the comfort level up several notches. :002:

I will always own/ride a bike though, I still have a tent and will do the occasional weekend away on the bike, solo,....there's no way the wife will go back to sleeping on an air bed let alone one of those foam mats. :745:

A tough decision but I'm sure you have thought long and hard and it will be the right one for you!

    Enjoy

Took the bike on a run to the dealers to see how much it was worth.
    And guess what.

I didn't stop, just carried on, and hour later I remembered why I bought the bike in the first place, and that I am still a biker.
So the Trophy will be with me for some time time I hope.
On my return Mrs T now awake a getting ready for her night shift, hearing the news was also very happy, she had not wanted to say anything but obviously knows
me better than I know myself, and as it turns out also loves the bike.  :047:

so  :821: to you all and can I come back please  :001:
