    Actually, it's about 44 years old now.. :745:
    2016 Trophy SE
    5 days, work week, 500 miles..first service Done!  Do it myself, don't trust the stealerships much.  Got a smoking deal on her from some fine folks at GOAZ in Scottsdale, AZ.  Nice bunch of folks over there.  Service department may be competent, but i'm stingy with my $$.  Rather spend it on riding school or track days.
    Gotta say, the thing handles like a much smaller bike.
    It was daunting at first, I've ridden liter bikes my whole life.  Well, after my 91 KZ550 got my learning on.  She felt heavy, but she's still got some width that i'm just not used to yet.  Comfortable..all day long!!
    Love this bike..LOVE IT!  Just gotta figure out how to reset the trip meter  :087:
    I look forward to learning as much as I can about the bike, and putting many many happy miles on her.

    Welcome.

    For me it was the test ride. Like you said, it feels like a much, much smaller bike. I was dumbfounded. It was only a matter of time until it was mine!

    Get out and ride that thing before it gets really hot out there!
    My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

    Hi 09S3 and :400: to the Club !

    Just gotta figure out how to reset the trip meter  :087:

    Page 40 of the Owners Handbook :

    Trip Computer Reset
    To reset either of the trip computers, select and display the trip meter to be zeroed
    then press and hold the SCROLL button, in either direction, for 2 seconds.

    After 2 seconds, the trip meter on display will reset to zero.

    The following trip items will be reset:

    journey time;
    journey distance;
    average fuel consumption;
    fuel used;
    average speed.

    Trip 2 can also be set to reset automatically after an
    adjustable  time delay of between 1 and 8 hours.

    Cheers  :821:

    100 miles a day? That must be fun out in Arizona. Which color did you get?

    Coconut, I did figure it out, I blew past it whilst reading, and backtracked last night to find it.  Thank you, as I haven't needed to refuel yet, but seeing how ya broke it down a little better, it's even easier..two seconds..lol

    @TrophyTed, I got the blue, love that blue...very similar to my 90 KZ550 Zephyr, first bike.

    @BLudy  yepper!  I ride every day unless it's raining in the morning..dont like sittin in wet chonies all day..i'll ride home in the rain anytime..lol

    So far, I've perused the site a bit and found the Shad case 45L.  Looks promising with back rest for $220.

    Gonna try to see if a friend can template CNC a set of angled risers as I was reading about the spacers at the 6 o'clock position.  I'd prefer a solid, tapered mount.  Ill chime a new thread when that happens.  Who knows, I might be able to pay off the bike with world wide sales of it!!

    Thanks for the warm welcome all!  See you on the road!

    P.S.  If anyone is keen and in the area, a few of us are planning a breakfast trip up to Wickenburg this Sunday @830  Cheers
