More brake lights on the top box

Just thought the forum might like to see my top box brake light install.
I used additional pin connectors (identified by another member in a separate post), to wire in an additional brake light feed to the top box mounting rack via the existing connector, and round the hinges to the lid. I chose not to make use of the tail light function of the LEDs, leaving that wire disconnected, as I believe that makes the brake function that much more distinct.
The “brakes applied” photo doesn’t really show the true brightness of the LED strips, taken as it is in strong sunlight, which are pretty much the same brightness as the OEM brake light.

These are the LED strips I used:
    http://www.bikermart.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=255-200-1
They are self adhesive and cope with the slight bend fine. They really are bright and also have a tail light function that I don't use. I will be adding my review once they have seen a bit more use.
Caveat: They have only seen dry conditions so far and I ride all year round.

Note: There are a number of interesting lighting solutions on this site, so be warned before you visit.  :001:

Thanks ShaunDW for giving me inspiration to take out more money out of my pocket. May I check how did you managed to get the wires to protrude out of the box? did you had to create holes? If so, wont water sip in so how did you solve that problem?

    Cheers,
    Pervinder
