    If anyone is intersted

I said I would put some stuff on the forum relating to parts I make in my workshop. I am a time served toolmaker and havve an interec==st in old bikes as well as new. Pictured are some cylinder barrels I am machining for 1960s Parilla motorcycles. I got the raw castings andmachined them to be Nikasil plated. The machines I have are not "state of the art" CNC, but obsolete 1960s /70s stuff which does a good job, but needs a bit of thinking to get the required result. First pic shows me using a German Wohlhaupter boring/facing head to get the cylinder spigot to length. The second shows the holding down stud holes being drilled. These are 100mm long, but drilled into the casting for a depth of 50mm from each end. No one is happier than I when they meet in the middle!! Third pic is boring a register diameter to enable the barrel to mounted in another fixture to finish the bore.

    Marvellous  :047:

There's probably a Market for "someone" to knock up a batch
of Gear Pedal / Rear Brake Pedal pivot bolts, of a more "robust" design
than the original part, ( which seem quite prone to shearing off ),
for Forum Members to keep as Spares  :169:

( I have one I could send you to take measurements etc from  :164: )

    Cheers  :821:

Put me down for both a gear pedal and brake pedal pivot bolt....would give me some extra peace of mind.  :152:

1675, I don't see a photo of you using the "special ball ended tool" that featured in the post showing a few shed tools. Obviously it stays locked away and only comes out for "VERY" precision work requirements. :745:
