Dealer has the bike to check the rotor...

So Tuesday I take the TTSE to the dealer in Beaverton (closest one at about 125 miles each way, plus a day off of work for me to ride and the spousal unit to follow and get us home) because it felt like I had a warped rotor,  Bike is a 2015 that went new unsold to auction, purchased in Oct 2016 at another non-Triumph dealer so still under warranty).  Was supposed to hear something Wednesday, didn't, so called yesterday.  Bike is sitting at about 6k miles.

They said yes there is slight warpage, but while checking it they found that it appeared the dealer did not do the original prep work correctly (not sure how they determined that, but I think I am glad I brought it in!) so have been communicating with Triumph after care about warranty coverage.  I also had been in contact with them.

Hopefully all is stood behind by them.  Hopefully I will get it back before too long.  I have read many good things about Triumph taking care of its customers so here is my chance to find out.

Did they say what the "Prep work" was,
that the original Dealer did not carry out properly ?

I had a similar problem with a brand new Tiger 1050, new rotors fixed it but the issue was that the bobbins were too tight, you should be able to rotate them by hand. A bad batch of rotors was blamed!!

The person I spoke with on the phone was not the tech and did not sound like she knew the particulars in this case.  Will find out the details though.

Caldwell (Boise area) is the best Triumph / any dealership out west here. I know it's a long ride, but these guys are the best. Birds of Prey Motorsports.
It is a long trip, but they have 2 Triumph certified guys that are really, really good and if U have any problems, call Mike and he will get U fixed up with whatever U need for a Trophy SE.
We were up at Sisters and Bend last week and we normally go on to Eugene, but had some schedule changes and never rode down thru Lowell this one time!  We love the area!
    Motorcycles in my garage currently:
    2016 Triumph Trophy SE, 2015 Yamaha R1, 2014 Suzuki Vstrom 1K Adv

Now looking for something new for summer play.

Finally heard back after I emailed the dealer for an update.  Brakes are being repaired (new rotors, and I assume new pads to match.  Will know for sure when it is done and I can speak directly with them) and it is being covered by Triumph.  Yay to their aftercare!

But, it has already been almost two weeks.  Parts should arrive next week, and according to the dealer service manager, 'We will complete the repair as soon as we have space in the schedule'.  At first that response made me feel a little 'back burner' in importance, but I know it is a busy time of year and all that.  I will just be happy to get it back!

In the meantime I will content myself by riding the CBR1100xx Super Blackbird.  Not nearly as comfy, but...

Got it back!  Took a month, but new rotors, new pads up front.  Had them run a diagnostic and they updated the Bluetooth programming.  Total cost out the door was about $51.  Nice!
Also, went 267 miles on that tank, still had a gallon of fuel left (47 mpg average) on the superslab running around 75 ish.  Not bad.

Good  to hear you have it back  :028:

Can you elaborate on "... they updated the Bluetooth programming." ??

The only update I am aware of is to update dthe Audio System Software to Version 1.04E

Is that what they did, or was it something specific to the Bluetooth,
which I ( and other Members ) would be VERY intersted to hear about ! ?
