Disappointed owner, after 3 days, called into the dealer for safety recall. Problem with the gas tank. I should have stayed with Suzuki. Not impressed.

How much riding could you have possibly done in 3 days?  Give the bike a chance.  I think you will find the inconvenience of a half day recall visit to be inconsequential when compared to what the bike has to offer.

Agreed - Give it chance - I guess you'd be even more disappointed if they had NOT done the recall !

A few years back Suzuki recalled a total of 73,426 motorcycles with potentially dangerous faulty rectifiers,
including GSX's and other models, that could have resulted in the engine cutting out at an unexpected moment.

These things happen with new makes and models all the time, it's al part of the development process.
The main thing, especially with this issue from Triumph, is that it is being dealt with  :047:

Get the new tank, fill it up, and go ENJOY your fantastic new Trophy  :169:

... and  :400: to the Forum !

I has Suzukis for years, until moving to Triumph in 1995. After 18 years of Triumph ownership I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, that the Triumphs are, far and away, the better built and better finished bikes.

Relax, you've not made a mistake!  :028:

Welcome to the forum.
Most every brand of bike has issues, particularly with new models.  Triumph are quick to deal with issues.
Give the Trophy a chance, and Triumph.

Welcome to the forum...

Quality escapes happen, especially on new hardware with new production lines and processes..

But you are at least with a manufacturer who takes these things seriously and is issuing the recall at their cost in terms of money and reputation... That says a lot! :001: :001:

Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧
