Easypass mounting
« on: June 21, 2013, 12:45:24 am »
Strange question.

I installed the easy pass for the New Jersey Turnpike in the trunk Case.   Entering the turnpike, the transponder wasn't recognized.  I presumed that the transponder should be readable through plastic.   I pulled over and remounted the unit quickly on the windshield.

Question is therefore, with the moveable windshield - I worry about the transponder getting caught up in the mechanism or against the GPS Mount.   Additionally, theft is a concern.

Where do people mount theirs?

Thanks
Jordan

I have mine on a ram mount on the handlebars. I'd like to put it on a dash shelf if one is ever designed for the Trophy.

Cant say about PA and NJ but in Texas the instructions say you are "required" to mount it on the windshield.   My response to the DMV was what if your bike doesn't have a windshield.  (just jerking their chain).  They were dumbfounded.  Didn't know what to say.

You fellas should move to a decent place with no tariffs. Trouble is, to get here, you need to go to the end of the earth, then turn right.
