Sad news. It has been announced that 2006 MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden has died, following a crash on Wednesday afternoon while training on his bike near the Misano circuit in Italy

Heard this today as well, very sad news.... apparently knocked off his push bike by a car

spend your life racing round at 200mph and then get killed at less than 20mph

Sad day indeed.

Such a warm personalty, that will no longer brighten racing paddocks.     

I'd like to think he was aboard a racing bike, and "backed it in" sideways as he slid to the entrance of the Pearly Gates.

Based on watching him for more than a decade, I'd bet there's not a person alive who would have anything negative to say about Nicky.

RIP Kentucky Kid.     A great racer.   A great ambassador to racing.    A great human being.

A sad day indeed. He was such a nice guy and everybody liked him. Will miss the Kentucky Kid. RIP Nicky.
