    Headlight Stayed on!
    on: May 29, 2017, 04.56 pm
    May 29, 2017, 04.56 pm
On Friday I arrived at the Premier Inn in Leicester for the Brit Butt Rally and on leaving my bike in the car park I noticed the head lights were still on!  This was strange as the key was in my hand.  I put the key back in and turned her on, started and off again but the main headlights stayed on.

Not wanting to run the battery flat I pulled the main fuse and on replacement and start up I now had no lights and no windshield motor.

Quick check on the Internet and Pidcock's of Norwich (http://www.pidcocktriumph.com/ was 28 miles North of my location.

On arrival I explained my problem to Nigel at the Service desk, he got Danny, a technician, and I explained once again.  Nigel said "Get a free coffee and Danny will have a look."  Half way down my coffee Nigel came over to say the problem was a faulty headlight relay (terminals had welded together), they did not have one but would 'rob' another bike.  As I finished my coffee Danny appeared with my key all done with a new relay found in another mechanics tool box.

What a great Service, all free in warranty, so Thanks to Nigel and Danny.

Think I'll put a relay onto my packing list.
    Love, light, and kindness,

    Dave

Great result  :001: Do you have anything else wired into the headlight circuit? Not common to weld a relay nowadays..

    Hi Coconut,

This is my first ever message to you. I am very honored as you have always done your utmost best for the TTSE community. I appreciate your help and I am sure many of us feel the same way too. I live in Singapore and there is close to zero help I get from this part of the map plus the local dealers aren't that helpful when it comes to tips and tricks.

May I ask where is this info extracted from? I am now about to learn more about my 2014 TTSE and would like to to know if there is info for all the electrical circuit diagram as I intend to install couple of lighting accessories into my front and rear system. I am typically looking for info on where and which wire to splice hence knowing their wire colors would greatly help me (typically for front and rear lights)

Thanks mate and I just learnt that you just got your new TTSE? I didn't even realize you were without one for a while. What happened mate?

    Warm greetings from Singapore,
    Pervinder

    Hi perfsthepiper,

The circuit diagram is contained in the official Triumph Trophy Service Manual.

If you have little in the way of official Triumph Support in your Country
then I would highly recommemnd that you buy one - they are avaiable from any
official Triumph Dealer, or on-line from official Triumph parts suppliers.

The information I have is extracted from a variety of sources -
My own knowledge and experience, the Owners Handbook, Audio Handbook,
Service Manual, other On-Line resources, etc.

Regarding, "What happened" - See here : End of a Saga !

I'm busy for the next 12 hours, but will send you a Private Message later on this evening.

    Cheers  :821:

    Hi Coconut,

I just finished reading the end of saga. What a shame mate back then but hey, good to have you back on road again mate. Happy days. Good to know your old bike is back in the market again.

It is certainly a blessing to have you in this group mate and thanks for all that you do for the community. Stay blessed and will be communicating more once I get back onshore after completing my 2 months work in the middle of sea. I cant wait to start installing all the gears that i recently purchased online (thanks to some of the riders here for their personal recommendation on what to get) once I am back home.
