Headlamp Protectors
« on: June 21, 2013, 07:14:17 PM »
I got a pair of Headlamp Protectors from Powerbronze

The price was good at £20.00 - a lot less than the cost of replacing a stone chipped / damaged headlamp lense
I reckon, but they only cover the actual headlamp sections, leaving the central "Position Lamp" part exposed.

I was also a little surprised that they weren't more securely attached, and only use several small clear
stick on velcro type patches, allowing them to be "easily removed for cleaning",
so I'm half expecting them to "disappear" every time I park up  :191:

Mind you - they aren't much use to anyone except other Trophy Owners, so - I'm watching you  :153:

Hi Coconut, Had a set put on my old Blade, (tinted)  great bit of kit even thought they are only held on with Velcro, never lost them or had them nicked  :062: I was thinking about putting some on the Trophy but I do like the tinted think it would look good on silver. Problem lies with night time riding you have to remove them !!

Hi Roadrunner,

Thanks for updating the other thread - I had a hunt around for that and couldn't find it !

These are available in a range of different tints and colours,
but I went for the clear version, as the main reason for having them is for the damage protection,
and I really can't see ( pun ) why I would want to make myself any less visible by having tinted ones !

Not as a result of fitting the clear headlamp protectors, no.

I have some on my sprint and never lost them.  Actually the Velcro is very sticky and take quite a pull to get off.
