    Tank Bag Straps

I  "inherited" a Triumph Trophy SE tank bag but it's missing the straps that go on and under the surface of the black tank part (where the rubber plugs are at the moment) and which are then used to secure the bag to the tank. Anyone know of where I might be able to obtain these?

There are no straps, the tankbag has to 'feet' that fit into the slots after you remove the plugs, tilt the front of the bag up, slip the feet into the slots, tip it forward and secure the front with the quick-release clip..  If you don't see these, you have the wrong tank bag I'd say..

The "feet" at the back fit fine once the plugs are removed. The problem is that there is no male end for the front strap to click into. When I remove the front plug there's just a hole there. Is this something I need to buy from somewhere?

    Gar,

You have a few pieces missing, but these are all but impossible to find.
They are not available to buy as individual parts, or even as a complete Fitting Kit !

They have probably been left on the Trophy that the Tank Bag came from.

If you can, contact the previous owner and ask them to remove them and send to you !

There's a front strap with the male buckle attached, a Retaining Plate,
a screw to attach the Retaining Plate, and a self adhesive rubber pad
that the front "foot" of the Tank Bag sits upon.

These are all shown in the Fitting Instructions that can be downloaded here :
    Triumph Instructions.com
Enter the Part Number : A9510095, click "SEARCH",
and then click on the "Flag" for the required Language.

    Cheers  :821:

I think one could fab this if you can find the right size clip.  It's male on the bike tank cover, approx. 1 5/8" wide and 3/8" thick.

Just happen to be disassembling the bike for 20K service so Pics attached.

If it is all missing, I'm sure you can fab something to hold the front in place...

Thanks guys, I see that I am in fact missing the front strap with male end, retaining plate and rubber piece. I guess I'll have to fabricate something.
