Photobucket Ripoff!

Looks like Photobucket want to charge £400 if you want to post pics via them? 

Don't know why they don't just put adverts up to generate money - like most do.

I've dumped them now and using another provider.

We have an image hosting solution which we've used on a couple of our other Triumph sites.

We could probably implement it on here if there's enough interest. Essentially it would replace the current Gallery.

Advantages are it has a large upload limit (around 5MB) plus bbcode links are instantly generated so you can add images to your posts.

It's basically a rehash of our own image hosting solution which we have. As I say we'd need some interest to implement it but it is easiliy on par with Photobucket and in many ways exceeds them.

I have LOTS of Images on the Forum that are currently hosted on Photobucket.

I was unaware of the revelation that Photobucket are going to stop hosting images
for use on "third party sites" - such as the Trophy Owners Forum, withoit a paid subscription 

I find the current Forum Photo Gallery quite cumbersome to use,
and would definitely be interested in the alternative image hosting solution suggested

Recently been using IMGUR on another forum and it all seems pretty good and easy to link to the boards.
