    Upgraded Triumph Top Box Backrest?

I may not have searched properly but cant find a related topic.

Is there a better backrest available for the Top Box. SWMBO has been on the back and the only real complaint is that the backrest could be more comfortable. Alternatively has someone commissioned or built one?

Compared to the 'chair' that's on a Wing I think that it doesn't look comfortable either, just asked my wife, she says it's OK but she doesn't go that far on the bike nowadays to be honest.

Here's an idea for now, how about using velcro to be able to attach an extra cushion of her choice?

That's what I've been thinking. Just make my own using the existing pad. Just thought there may be an after market one somewhere

Yeah. Considering its price, I expected something a bit better too. Got our first long ride upcoming in a couple weeks. I'll have a better opinion of it then....or rather she will!

I bet Russell Day Long could fix you up with whatever you need.  He normally takes the OME seats and pads and fits them to your wishes.  Go to day-long.com.

If your Pillion is wearing back protection as they should be then they wouldn't notice difference between a plank of wood or a thick foam pad behind their back
Keep it shiny side up and rubber side down

The rubber pad looks ok but will not pass muster for a long trip. I am about to visit an auto upholsterer and get him to make one, as I did for my BMWR1200GSA. It will be a professional job which will be comfortable and it will not be cheap!
