Avon 3D Storm X-M Radials Review

Ran front and rear Avon Front 3D Storm X-M Radials
Most of the usage was pretty vigorous, running the twisties in the Hill Country of Texas and in Northern Georgia. Probably 25% touring solo with full camping gear. Maybe 10% 'just riding'.
Got 10,805 miles - front could have gone perhaps another 500 just about to kiss wear bars. Rear into wear bars.
Handling was fantastic through the life, better than any other tire I've run in the last 25% of useful life.. Surefooted in the rain, made the TTSE feel like a 250 in the corners... Impressive...
Put on another set today....

From Dennis Kirk:
1 Front 3D Storm X-M Radial 120/70ZR-17 Blackwall Tire - 90000020110
Part #: 544407 $120.88 $120.88
1 Rear (AV66) Storm 3D X-M 190/55ZR-17 Tire - 90000020781
Part #: 544548 $168.88 $168.88
I ran Roadsmart II's before the Avons. Had a weird 'hunting' quality. Overall an OK tire but not nearly as good as the Avons... Almost went for the Roadsmart III's, but then thought I liked the Avons so much, no sense trying anything else. I used PR4 GTs for a while, good tire, but like the Avons better...

Thanks for the info janfmiller. I just might give them a try. Got really good mileage out the original Pirellis then tried Michelin 4s, did not like them at all. Went back to the Pirelli STs. They are doing well but want to try something else so thanks again.

Hello
I've been doing 3750 miles with my Avon 3D Storm X-M tires for now, I'm happy with that
. However, they are difficult to find in France
