    Comfy seate and it's heated

As we know the stock "low" seat is crap.
I also bught a "low" heated seat, still not happy.
I know, I know 2 low seats, same height, I didn't expect a miracle or a huge difference.

So I've been searching for a comfy seat...........to no avail.

I actually placed on line orders with 3 different dealers around the US.
Discontinued, no sorry we can't find one. Ok I accept that.

Then I placed an order with Engle motors in Kansas city MO.
    https://triumphparts.englemotors.com/a/Triumph_2015_Trophy1215-SE/_51523_5784402/Heated-Rider-Seat/100061545-1-2.html

They CALLED me, not an email retraction and explained the comfy seat is discontinued etc....BUT they have a HEATED comfy seat!!!   I'm in!!   I'll take it.   The difference from the low seat to the comfy seat is HUGE.   I'm a 2X guy, just clear 6ft and in the 260lb range.   I also like long rides.
I rode 1720 miles on vacation with a low seat and a gel pad on it. Acceptable, but not great.  The few hundred miles so far on the comfy seat is a huge difference.

Try Engle   They may have a few left  Adam and Larry were super easy to work with.
I have no affiliation with the dealership.  I'm not even in the same time zone.....

It is my understanding that the heated standard height seat is not the same as the comfort seat. There is no heated comfort seat. I have both as well as the stock low non-heated seat.

    So, OEM rider seat choices:

Low rider seat (stock on US Trophy's)
Standard rider seat (stock on UK Trophy's, and I believe elsewhere [ROW in vehicle parlance])
    Low heated rider seat
    Standard heated rider seat
Comfort seat (comes in only one height, which is the same height as the standard seat)

So you're saying they were incorrect telling me that a heated comfy seat does exist, when it doesn't?
the part number they show is A9708350 Heated rider seat  3D net

"Triumph Trophy Heated Rider Seat A9708350
Stay warm and comfortable with the bespoke Triumph Heated Rider Seat (A9708350), featuring an integral "quick heat" element and a 3D mesh comfort pad."

    This isn't a comfort seat?

I'm not looking for an argument, just help and clarification.

    Thanks
    Keith

That's correct, that's just the heated seat (I have that part number). The comfort seat is a gel foam seat with the 3d mesh. I've seen it claimed that the seat isn't gel foam having seen it with the cover off, but you'd have to cut the foam apart to actually tell (gel foam isn't necessarily blue), besides the description of the seat says it is (there's a sticker on mine put there by Triumph describing it as "gel seat")... gel infused foam generally keeps its shape longer, maintains its "squishability" longer, and is cooler than regular foam because the gel beads allow air to flow, from what I understand. I have yet to put my comfort seat to the butt test because it's been excruciatingly hot and my bike is at the shop for a warranty repair.

Thankfully I don't really have an issue with the standard heated seat that came on my SE, it does make me wonder why the most comfy seat option doesn't come with the heated element? Surely heat is comforting too??

From what I understand reading about gel foam construction, the gel beads allow air to pass through between them and the foam, which would defeat the heating element in cold weather.

I have the U.S. seat whatever that is?  If it is a lower seat I hear it is crap!? Can you still get a comfort seat and approximately what does it cost?
    Thanks!
