iphone bluetooth
« on: June 26, 2013, 12:54:46 PM »
hopefully this is easy. iPhone is paired with Trophy. Headset is paired with Trophy. I can hear music. Phone rings, cant hear it ring, but the music stops, the display offers to answer or ignore. I see the callers name in the bottom of the screen, I push the select button, while the answer prompt is visible and it dumps the call.

You push the "P" button to answer the call.  I'm not sure what pressing "select" does off hand but you can check the manual.

So far "Select" his dumping the call. I will try the Preset. My book says Select to answer and Preset to hangup. Is it normal I don't hear it ring?

I have mine set up exactly as you describe and mine rings. It can be answered by pressing the P button. All I can think of is that you have knocked the mute button on the top left side of the iphone to off. I am pretty sure it has to be phone related and not Trophy related.
Might as well as wish we had.

not only mute but I found that if the volume was just low it also does not think it is ringing.  the squelch is set quite high

Sounds like you guys have been able to get your headsets working.  Are any of you using the Scala G9?  I can pair my G9 to the Trophy and hear music from both the Iphone and Trophy radio.  BUT I cannot get my voice activated calls to work.  On my Q2 I could command "call ABC" and the call would be made.  On this G9 that simply doesn't work even though the manual says it should work.  Anyone been successful or have I wasted a few hundred dollars on an "upgrade" that is in fact a downgrade?

pressing the "P" preset button, contrary to my owners manual, does connect the call. however the volume is so low, i cant hear the caller and the caller cant hear me with out shouting. The radio volume keys have no affect. The iPhone volume is full high.
