    Peg Adjustment and Shifter

:440: I've only been able to sit on my bike a couple of times as it is still at the dealer (will be two weeks Tuesday) awaiting the top box and a Simonize process.  I wasn't able to test ride it due to a brain injury in a MC accident but whilst (while) sitting (deference to my UK friends) I noticed some trouble getting my toe under the shifter? It appeared that possibly the pegs needed to be lowered?  Is that possible?  Any recommendations or comments on the same scenario will be appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Gary

The pegs can't be moved, but the shifter lever can be raised and lowered via the threaded rod it connects to, or by rotating the arm on the splined shaft that comes out of the transmission. I wear obnoxiously large boots when I ride (Sidi Adventure Gore Tex), and I had to raise mine to get my foot under it.

Thanks so much Bob!  I will see if I can get the dealer to lower the shifter before I take delivery.  I ordered a pair of Alpinestars Roam 2 WP Boots that I know will probably not fit under the shifter.  I know when sitting on the bike at the dealers that I couldn't get my big toed slip on shoes under the shifter.  Again, thanks so much for your kind response and information.
    Best Regards,
    Gary
