Trophy rally in France 2018

I understood last year that some here would like to participate in 2018 so I go ahead in advance for the organization:

We organize the 3 rd Trophy rally in France next year in the Périgord region on 22, 23 and 24 June 2018 (arriving on Thursday evening, departure on Sunday morning after breakfast).

We found a complete package at € 95 for three nights + breakfast + evening meal, there are 70 seats available in mobihome and if some want to camp tent.

To date we have registered 28 participants (including passengers) for this event.

I had been planning a trip to France when I found out about the 2018 rlly and decided to include it in my schedule.    I am so glad I did.

I was the only English guy there and our French guys made me really welcome.   I was camping in my own tent but the campsite, which was fantastic, offered static tents and chalets.  Breakfast and a main meal at the campsite was included, which were up to the usual great French standard.   The organised ride out on Saturday was a treat, I think there were 70 bikes, four of which were"Road Marshals",  who were allowed to hold other road users at junctions so we could ride through without impediment.  Of course, the local area was stunning and the weather, fantastic. It went up to 38 degrees on the Saturday. 

I think the 2019 rally if further south and I was hoping to return this year but my wife has booked a trip to Japan so I guess our holiday budget might not stretch to another trip to France. 

I would heartily recommend the French rally to all, although I have to admit I could easily keep this event to myself so that it remains typically French.

I was planning a trip to France next year anyway so looks like this will be it 🇫🇷 . Won't be camping though, gave up that game about 40 years ago. 😁😁
