North Central Pennsylvania in September

Greetings. Karl and I are going to meet halfway between our respective homes in Mansfield which is on the Grand Army of the Potomac Highway in north central Pennsylvania. The plan is to converge on Mansfield on September 21 and stay at the Mansfield Inn. It's a modestly price motel with decent reviews. We'll ride on Friday and Saturday (Sept 22-23) and then head to our respective homes on Sunday (Sept 24). There are a number of restaurants and a brew pub within walking distance of the motel.

We have no specific riding plans as of yet but there is no shortage of excellent roads in that part of north central PA or in adjacent New York.

Anybody who wants to join in is welcome. Just book your room at the Mansfield Inn or at another establishment near by and PM Karl or I and let us know and we'll watch for you.

I live about 2 hours from there will probably join you guys for a ride.  Tried to get together with Karl here in VT but weather would not cooperate.

Okay one ride is determined. We're going to head north to New York and ride around a couple of the Finger Lakes with a stop in Auburn, NY. The stop will serve two purposes. We'll have some lunch and tour http://www.sewardhouse.org/. As you may recall Seward once served as governor of New York State, was the Secretary of State for Lincoln during the Civil War and acquired Alaska for the US. He was shot in an attempted assassination attempt the same day that Lincoln was killed.

We have discovered a craft brewery a few doors down from the Mansfield Inn!!!

Interested in the ride, but not sure if I can make it yet. Would like see a Trophy that is not in a Triumph dealer's showroom. Will let you know if I can make it.

The last time we got together was in North Conway in NH.  Riding the Gaps and a foray into Maine are still good memories.

Bad news. The ride is going to be cut short one day, at least for me. Karl and I will ride to Mansfield on Sept 21, ride on Sept 22 and head home sometime on the 23d. Sorry if this creates issues for anyone who was hoping to join us.
