Alternate GPS mounts? Perhaps more USA related.

First I hope this is the right forum for this general question.  Abbreviated question is anyone aware of a more generic Garmin GPS mount over the factory accessory?

More detailed question is I have a Garmin Nuvi 2555 GPS unit.  When I did a fly/ride from the dealer a few States away I desperately wanted to use my existing GPS but had no mount.  I kept in my pocket but afraid of dropping it I would pull off the highway/street/road, pull it out to check my progress, at times turning around to find my way, and continue.

I admit I'm a fan of the RAM ball mounts for items and have used them in multiple vehicles   I've used their handlebar "U-Bolt" bases before but since the 2015 Trophy doesn't really have a conventional 3/4" bar I don;t see it working.  Does anyone know if the  Brake/Clutch Reservoir Base, Part# RAM-B-309-1U, the Reservoir Cover Base or perhaps the Gas Tank Base might fit.  I suspect not since those with a model fitment list do not show the Trophy (or Triumph for that matter).

    Thanks in advance folks,

    Rick

You can attach a ram ball mount using the one of the bolts that attaches  the handle bars to the headstock.

Search the GPS section of the forum.

    Rick,

This Ram part screws into the hole on the handle bars. RAM-B-349U  You use the same item on both sides. I use one on each side to hold a variety of items, phone, additional GPS, camera, etc.

I'm embarrassed....I rode behind those handle bars for something like 1600 miles for 4 1/2 days and only after you mentioned them did I actually see the spot.  Part ordered, should have grabbed 2, thanks again.

Thanks for the lead on that seller of accessories.  I decided to go with his ram ball mount at the base of the handlebars along with a separate ram ball for one of the holes on the handlebars.

I added this to my bike  https://www.//index.php/products/triumph/2013-triumph-trophy-se/114-triumph-trophy-se-fork-ram-ball-mount-options

I used if for my Zumo.  Just added the  top of dash mount.  so this mount is good for a phone. :028:

I'm using the universal telephone mount for my I-Phone for GPS, Music (I-Tunes) and Telephone calls.  I'm also going to pair the phone to my Sena as well as my Trophie's blue tooth so I can use XM Serius.
