GaryWWhite,

Appreciate you are probably only trying to help, but I'm concerned that your Post
might cause confusion as the Trophy does not have a "DEVICE 1" to connect to !  :110:

The originator of this Topic - JAFFYTRIUMPH - was seeking information about
how to connect HIS specific equipment, including his Garmin Zumo 595 Sat Nav device.

He wasn't looking for completely different or alternative solutions,
such as using the capabilities of a Sat Nav App on his iPhone,
presumably because he HAS a Garmin Sat Nav, and an iPhone App
may be prone to limitations in areas where there is no cellular coverage,
if further Map tiles need to be downloaded, compared to his Garmin where ALL of the
required mapping is stored on the device, and which only needs satellite signals to function.

Cheers  :821:

:431:  :430:  I had thought the SAT NAV features worked on the telephone like a regular GPS.  WAZE can give the speed you are traveling like a GPS? I never could get a straight answer researching this on the internet.  Anyways, sorry to interfere with the process you gentlemen were working on.
Best Regards,
Gary

IOS 11.03 wrecked the functions that were working with my phone and the Trophy so I had to redo it, and this time it would not work paired the same way it had been previously.  I had to pair the phone with "media selective pairing" to the headset, and pair the Trophy to the headset as "phone pairing" to get it all to work again.  Took the better part of an hour futzing with different sequences and settings to find one that would work.  Lots of posts on the K1600 forum about the IOS update not playing well with some other systems too.  C'mon, Apple.  Can you leave something that works alone for once?

A couple of issues I see
To use the "smart" features of the garmin such as weather and traffic it needs to be connected to your phone. How do you work around this and still maintain the connectivity needed?
I use Pandora which on occasion I have been able to use the Triumph display and controls, yet other times it will not work. How do I setup a stable connection for this as well?

I know this is old; I'm researching options.

Ok, so first you said the following I(snipped)

Just finished experimenting and this is how I now have mine set up :

1.  Pair Helmet Headset to the Trophy as HEADSET 1

2.  Pair iPhone to the Trophy as DEVICE 1

3.  Hard Wire the AUDIO OUT Socket of the Garmin 595 Cradle
to the Trophy NAV Audio Input Jack Plug.

4.  Connect a USB device ( e.g. Memory Stick or iPod etc ) to the Glove Box USB Port.

5.  Put some more music files on a Micro SD card and insert it in the Garmin 595

Then you said this...and I can't tell which one is the mistake...

I'm just trying to figure out which is right?

Can I connect my headset to 'headset 1' then connect anotehr device to 'device 1?' or not?

Could you please reconcile these two statements? You know...for science!

Good Spot - Glad to see someone is paying attention !

Unfortunately, on that occasion - it seems that I wasn't !  :138:

In your first Quote, It shouid read : 2. Pair iPhone to the Trophy as DEVICE 2.

I have gone back and edited the error in the original Post.  :028:

The second quote is correct.
