Rode the SE for an hour today. Blue one.
Wow. I didn't bother much with the obvious toys (radio etc) just tried to get as much from the bike as I could.
So easy to ride (I'm a 25/30k p.a Pan European rider) and very quick. Great response and very planted.
Ergonomics superb. The only niggle so far (I'm taking it out again next week) is the indicator switch is not easy
and I was wearing summer weight gloves, too.
Want one.

So I took delivery on Saturday. Only done about 150 miles so far, but what a bike!
Obviously taking it easy for the moment, keeping the rev s below 3500 ain't easy when it wants to go.
To any doubting Pan or BM riders - you won't be disappointed by weight or handling.
The only thing I'm still a little mindful of is the width of the panniers, not filtering so much yet.
Everything I'd hoped for otherwise.Highly recommended

Well done mate enjoy it - I agree entirely. It is quite wide but slow speed handling makes up for it when filtering. Have you read the article in Ride where Pan and R1200RT owners tried it?

HI all.
I've just joined the Triumph Trophy site my name is Marcus and live in Newhaven ,East Sussex in the U K. Had a fantastic test ride back in November and promptly ordered a Silver SE with delivery mid January. When ordering I asked about safety donuts or bars similar to what I had on a Pan 1300 . Was told not able to fit as bike will not accommodate them.  I would also like to instill spot/fog lights as with the BMW's. Would appreciate any help as I see members are talking about Bars and Lights!
I had part exchanged my Pan for a Rocket 111 Touring at nearly400kg which I've had since March.
After riding the monster for 9 months I found the Trophy a dream, very easy to ride with the comfort the Pan never had.
I look forward to the Postings from our Trophy Forum.

cheers Marcus.

It's  a heavy rubber bumper on the sides on the lower put of a Pam st 1300 so if you are unfortunate to drop it no damage is done. I think the BMW Rt's can have safety bars fitted around the engine pots .

I suppose the best thing is don't drop it !
