Used the bike today, had Jury duty at local courthouse which has no parking.... anyway pouring with rain I geared up and headed off....

When I pulled the front brake I got a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz noise? I replaced the pads a few weeks ago with EBC HH pads, they don't make any noise when dry... anyone else had this? Noise continued even after a few applications.

Brakes felt ok and worked fine.

I just replaced my rears with EBC pads while the wheel was off to get a tire mounted locally.  I had 2.2 mm left and minimum I think I found on here posted by Coconut is 1.5 mm, so I got EBC HH pads for less than $22 from Amazon.  They seem to have much more bite than the stock ones, but then those were approaching end of life.  Haven't been in the rain with them yet, though.  My front pads have a LOT of life left in them, I'm not very hard on brakes.  If I'm out in the rain I'll try to listen for any noise from the rears.

I have EBC Double H pads installed in front and, likewise, hear a "zzzzzzzz" or whirring noise when braking under wet weather conditions.  It doesn't appear to actually affect the braking capabilities.  I don't hear the noise when conditions are dry.  Frankly though, I don't recall if I heard the noise when I had the OEM pads installed.

I remember hearing this "zzzzzzzzzzzzz" sound a few times (stock pads) but can't tell under which conditions. Will pay more attention next time  :431:

Put rear EBCs on before a trip to NE states rode in a lot of rain no noticeable noise but did notice much better rear braking than original pads which was almost non existent.
