    First Aid Kits??

Not sure where to post this but this seemed as good a place as anywhere.  I wonder how many of us carry some sort of first aid kit on the bike?  Not just something that gets packed if we "go camping" with other gear but pretty much carry all the time.  If so, what kind of kit do you carry??  I've seen, what I think are way too expensive, specialty kits marketed as motorcycle specific but think a small kit could be gotten or built much cheaper and be as effective.  Just not sure what to actually select for contents.  Yes, I believe before anyone actually attempts to stop and administer aid they should have at least some basic training/class so that's not really the question.

    Comments??

I have a small travel first aid kit that in a cinch-bag with the Trophy's owners manual. I keep it in the left pannier. Both items are handy in an emergency!

Have you had an problems when taking the bike for an MOT with that fitted? I've heard that testers could say that the number isn't illuminated properly.

Good link to Video on First Aid Coconut.

I always carry a first aid kit and keep my first aid in the workplace qualification up to date, knowledge is by far the best first aid 'kit' to have.

I also carry medication that is useful to me like pain killers, anti-histamine, diarrhea tablets etc.  Obviously I am not qualified to administer tablets and would never do so but these are all bought over the counter items and if a fellow biker asked me for simple medication I tell them where my first aid kit is and I would not mind them 'stealing' the tablet they wanted.  In this day and age of blame culture I am sure some will say I am exposing myself to a possible problem however I have often saved the day for some poor suffering soul by making this offer.  Prepared to stand up if challenged.

    Love, light and kindness,

    Dave
