potential problem!!

i used this type of oil filter removal tool in the picture  and it snags the sidestand wiring which runs tight down the side along with the breather pipe.
i was fortunate to only damage the sleeve of the wiring and not the actual wiring.

all triumph filters  pretty sure are the same, the one filter fits my bonnie as well

use this type to avoid snagging wiring!!

note the picture is the one NOT to use

I just use the pliers type. Easy to fit it in and you only need a partial turn before fingers all e can do the rest.

Note that the Triumph Part number quoted in that eBay listing
is not the Part number for the Tool, but is the number for the Filter.

The Tool is not a genuine Triumph Service tool,
and although it is slightly cheaper than the genuine
Triumph Tool, similar tools can be purchased
for around half the price.

The one to look for has 14 ”Flutes”  :028:

Can't beat the end cap type of remover in my opinion, I bought a case containing a dozen different sizes years ago, I always go to that first although on some cars there's just no room between the end of the filter and chassis leg or whatever to get an end cap in, then it's a strap wrench that I prefer.
